HISTORY

CABLE DRUMS MAKE HISTORY

Everything began in 1948. In connection with his technical abilities and the view towards the markets needs, the engineer Otto Schill put together a small, portable cable drum. With that he laid the cornerstone for the worldwide production of cable drums and for the innovative company that today still is characterised through that special pioneering spirit, the market orientation and the closeness to customers:

Schill GmbH & Co. KG with its headquarters in Fellbach, Stuttgart and production plant in Laichingen/Baden-Wuerttemberg.

The success was overwhelming from the beginning; the demand increased and likewise, so did the employees. The product range also continuously developed itself, products were enhanced and novelties set new standards. Immo Schill, son of the company founder was also an engineer, complemented the business management and set new accents with high-quality plastics. As a result, a own tool and mould making was created.

After the death of the senior director, Immo Schill took over the company. With his son Ingo, the company is already in its third generation of management. The customer base also increased: the radio, TV and video branch are becoming more and more important, both in Germany and throughout the world.

Growth at Schill does not only mean to get bigger, but also to show greatness – with a future-orientated quality management system as per DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 as well as the responsible handling of resources and investments into environmentally friendly facilities.

Today the company employs approx. 60 employees and has become a key player in the international world market long ago.
